Ben Hazemanim Program

Last year’s trial camp in Lakewood was a huge success, and this year we plan to enhance the program with additional counselors, extended learning, and a memorable pre-zeman trip. To support this, we kindly request a minimum contribution of $1,800 per student, which includes airfare.

Thank you, Rabbi Yaakov Harari.

Last Summer

Dear parents,

As partners of the most important mission, your son’s Chinuch, B”H we had tremendous Siyata Dishmaya this Zman. Every Bachur in their own way had a tremendous Aliyah. Of course, this could not have been accomplished without our parents’ Tefilot and involvement. Be”H they should continue in the path of Aliyah and we should merit to see much Nachat from our children.

It’s not a secret to any of us what we are up against. The summer is a hard time with many Nisyonot. With all that’s out there it’s very easy to fall and lose everything your son gained throughout the year. Being off in general, and especially in the summer puts our children in a major sakana. On the other hand, the boys need a break, which is very important as well for their physical and mental well being.

The past two summers we had a ben hazmanim camp directed by Josh Uzan (a member of the Kollel). B”H, it has been a tremendous success, and every year it has gotten better. The structure of the program was, for the first three weeks we were in Lakewood. Shacharit in the morning, then first Seder from 10-1, activities in the afternoon (with trips) and back again for Night Seder. The last week of Ben Hazemanim, we took them to Arizona. The Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yaakov Harari joined us as well.

The benefit of the program was tremendous. Number one we gave them a healthy balanced break while at the same time maintained their Ruchaniyut. Also, it created a tremendous achdut amongst the boys, which is very beneficial for their continual growth.

This year we are stepping up the program between the older and younger Bachurim. This year BH, we will be having 36 boys in total. We are bringing in additional counselors and will have other members of the Kollel, who will be learning with the boys to give them more individual attention. Also, we will be extending the learning for an extra week and the major trip will be the week before the Zeman.

This yeshiva has been under a lot of financial pressure this year, and still realizing the importance of this program is willing to undertake this extra financial pressure. The cost is $2,500 per Talmid. I am asking sincerely, that every parent do their part and alleviate the pressure by at least paying the minimum cost of $1,800. The cost is trivial compared to the unbelievable gain the students have. Payments should be made out to YAD MOSHE. The mailing address is 1126 Carolina St. Lakewood, NJ 08701. For your convenience, we have set up this page so you can easily make payment.

Thank You,
Rabbi Yaakov Harari
